A woman accused of stealing packages off of porches is also accused of striking a police officer with her car.

Police say that they received an anonymous tip that Ebony Gomez was the person responsible for stealing packages from porches in Gloucester Township. The tipster told police that Gomez was in a car in the Sicklerville section of town.

Officials say that when officers tried to pull Gomez over, she sped away. They say that when they caught up with her, she struck an officer with her car.

The officer is expected to be OK.

Gomez faces numerous charges, including eluding police and aggravated assault.
