Seven people from four families were left displaced by a fire that tore through their home Thursday night in Jersey City.
Authorities say the fire began on the second floor of the home at 117 Storms Ave.
It caused extensive damage to the second and third floors of the three-story building.
The fire also slightly extended to an unoccupied neighboring building, according to fire officials.
Authorities say no injuries were reported. The Red Cross is providing the displaced individuals with temporary housing, food and clothing.
There is currently no word on what caused the fire.
