New police body camera video was released today of a shootout at a home in Hamilton between police and a man said to be involved in a domestic dispute.
Officers Derek Fiabane and Paul Piromalli shot and killed 44-year-old Vincent Correa during a domestic violence call on March 8 on Orchard Avenue, according to the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General.
Fiabane and Piromalli were invited to go into the house after being told Correa had a lot to drink and he owned multiple guns. Inside, Correa appeared to hold an assault weapon, raising it towards the officers and firing. The officers fired back. Officer Fiabane was hit, and Correa died at the scene.
A rifle and a handgun were recovered.
The state attorney general's office is continuing its investigation.
