Lodi police are warning parents about an attempted luring in town.
Officers were called to the area of Church Street and Massey Street on Wednesday after a young teen told police he was approached by a man he did not know.
The boy was supposedly riding his bike home from a friend's house when a man drove up to him in an older, navy blue van and asked if he wanted a ride. The boy went back to his friend's house and immediately reported the incident.
The man is described as being 40 to 50 years old with a beard. He was wearing a gray tank top at the time. The make and model of the van is unknown.
Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to call contact Detective Eric Castillo at 973-473-7600, ext. 8134.
