A Burlington County man is now facing charges related to a deadly stabbing at a TGI Friday’s in Union County.
The stabbing happened Nov. 9 at the restaurant in Linden. Eric Kuns, 35, was killed.
"Our family is still grieving and today just brings back a lot of emotions," said the victim’s niece, who only wanted to be identified as Kaylie. "There’s a sense of relief knowing that he’s been caught, but it doesn’t bring my uncle back.”
Police arrested and charged 41-year-old Darnell Robinson in connection with the stabbing.
Police say they responded to the TGI Friday’s on Route 1 in Linden with reports of a fight. When they got there, Kuns was unresponsive outside of the restaurant. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
It’s still unclear where the altercation started, but officials say it ended outside the restaurant.
"We still don’t have answers on why this happened or what prompted this… we just want answers," Kaylie said.
Robinson, who lives in Wrightstown, is charged with first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
"I hope he rots in jail for the rest of his life," Kaylie said.
Police say this is still an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Union County Prosecutor's Office.
