New Jersey's annual bear hunt starts Monday, but it will look different than it has in previous years.
State-run check stations where hunters brought their bears will be closed because of the pandemic.
Hunters will instead have to call a phone number to get instructions.
Gov. Phil Murphy has promised to end the hunt, but he also says he lacks the legal authority to do so since the Fish and Game Council oversees it.
