Prosecutors say a fire that left dozens homeless in Newark and hospitalized one man was set by the victim's girlfriend.
Debra White, 51, is being charged with attempted murder, aggravated arson and causing widespread injury and damage. Authorities say White lit her bed on fire following an argument with her 77-year-old boyfriend.
Three firefighters suffered smoke inhalation battling the blaze. White's charges could be increased as a result.
White is being held without bail and expected in court Tuesday.
