An alligator was found today in the driveway of a Middletown home.
Authorities were called to a home on Hartshorne Road just before 11 a.m. today on a report that an alligator was sitting in a driveway of a home.
The 2 ½-foot alligator was removed from the area by the Middletown Township Animal control office without incident. The alligator is now in the posession of the New Jersey Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Police say they don't yet know where the alligator came from or if it belongs to anyone.
