Air quality levels in New Jersey improve. How much longer will the wildfire smoke last?

Wednesday hit a record for the worst air quality in the world. Experts say it’s getting better, but we’re not completely clear just yet.

The air quality has improved to moderate around the New York City metropolitan area. Some haziness is still lingering in the sky but it’s not as bad as earlier this week.

How much longer can we expect this to last?

Experts say Friday will be slightly better. Although many predict poor air quality through the weekend with gradual improvements each day.

With the improving air quality and possible rain showers next week, it should help clear out the dangerous air particles.

For those that still may be sensitive to particle pollution, they are advised to stay inside.
