The Associated Humane Societies is looking into two cases of cat abuse.
A Siamese cat was flung from a 10th-floor window of a Newark high-rise. The cat, named Shannon by AHS staff, suffered a broken leg and possible fractured ribs.
Another cat, named Fluffy by staff, was rescued after witnesses reported seeing kids kicking the cat like a football. Fluffy's injuries were more severe and will require surgery.
According to AHS, the vet bills will be at least $5,000. More information about the cats can be found at the Humane Societies
