Activists are calling for an apology and an impartial investigation after several people were arrested during an anti-ICE protest in Atlantic City Saturday.

Protest organizers, however, dispute the police department’s account of what happened and are speaking out against the arrests. They are calling for an apology and an independent investigation into the incident.
Atlantic City’s mayor described the situation as unfortunate. The mayor’s office said that while city officials may disagree with some of the tactics being used, the city does not have jurisdiction over federal law enforcement operations.
