Frank James, the suspected Brooklyn subway shooter, returned to court today.
James is accused of a shooting that left dozens of people injured inside a Sunset Park subway station back in April. James has been charged with a terrorist attack and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.
This was his second time in court for that subway attack. He was indicted in Brooklyn federal court in May for that shooting, which left 10 people with gunshot wounds, and 19 other people injured as well.
James will be back before a judge on Oct. 12, and his trial has a tentative start date in February of next year.
Authorities say the 62-year-old put on a gas mask, deployed a gas canister and fired at least 33 times on an N train during the morning rush hour commute.
This is not James’ first run in with law, as he has an extensive criminal history. If convicted of both of these charges, he could face life in prison.
