A pair of firsts: Grandparents meet grandchild from outside hospital, mother meets son after 10 days

The coronavirus couldn't put a damper on a pair of grandparents who wanted to meet their new grandchild for the first time, as well as a Long Island mother who met her son for the first time.

In New Brunswick, the grandparents couldn't hide their excitement outside of Saint Peters Hospital, getting as close to the hospital they could and holding a sign that read, "Welcome Hayden. Thank you nurses and doctors."
Meanwhile on Long Island, a mother met her son for the first time Wednesday 10 days after he was born, as she had been in a coma suffering from the virus.

The woman went to the hospital with trouble breathing and contractions. After she tested positive, doctors put her in a medically induced coma.
Her son was delivered through a C-section while she was unconscious, and 10 days later, the woman was finally well enough to come off the ventilator and meet her son.
