A high-speed police chase concluded early yesterday morning with five suspects from Newark, aged 14 to 19, now facing charges.
The incident began when Paramus police spotted a stolen Mercedes on Route 17.
The suspects, including Zi-Yahna Howard and Jason Thomas, both over 18, then led officers on a chase that extended onto the Garden State Parkway.
During the pursuit, the suspects' vehicle struck two police cars.
After their vehicle was finally stopped, an attempt to flee on foot was unsuccessful.
