4 men accused in shooting near Rutgers face judge; 2 ordered to remain jailed

Four men charged in connection to a shooting in New Brunswick that injured two Rutgers University students were in court for a detention hearing.
Walter Rodriguez-Cardenas, Sayyid Acosta, Christian Farmer and Ryan Nasi faced a judge on Tuesday for the April 5 shooting.
The judge ruled that Rodriguez-Cardenas and Acosta are to have a monitored release. Farmer and Nasi were to remain in jail.
Middlesex County prosecutors allege that Famer is the person who fired the shots that injured a man and woman near the intersection of Eaton Avenue and Hamilton Street.
There was no word on when any future court dates would be scheduled.
