L train riders are facing service disruptions this weekend as the MTA completes communications upgrades and track work.
There is no L train service between Lorimer Street in Brooklyn and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan through 5 a.m. Monday.
L trains will continue to run in Brooklyn between Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway and Lorimer Street.
Free shuttle buses are available in Brooklyn and Manhattan to help riders get around the closure.
The same service suspension is scheduled again next weekend, from Friday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 12.
The MTA says the shutdown is necessary for communications upgrades and track improvements.
