A Congers man is accused of possessing child sexual abuse material, state police say.
Dylan Schneider was arrested Tuesday following an investigation that began in May.
Police say Schneider was in possession of images and videos that depicted the sexual exploitation of children, including some as young as 4 years old.
Schneider was charged with three counts of possessing or accessing with intent to view an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16 years of age.
News 12 has learned Schneider was previously employed by Rockland BOCES.
"Rockland BOCES is both shocked and disgusted by these allegations. This individual passed a background check when he was hired in 2023 and had no reported incidents involving students during his period of employment. He will not be returning to our agency," a spokesperson wrote in a statement.
Schneider is expected to appear in Clarkstown Town Court later this month.
