Firefighters prevented a dangerous vehicle fire from spreading to a row of occupied townhomes in Bedminster earlier this month.

The Bedminster Fire Department says crews responded July 2 to the Stone Run II development for reports of multiple vehicles on fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found several vehicles fully engulfed in flames.

Officials say the burning vehicles were located dangerously close to nearby townhomes, creating the risk that flames or intense heat could spread to the residential buildings.

Crews quickly stretched hose lines and began attacking the fire while also protecting the adjacent homes.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the vehicles and keep it from spreading to the townhouses.

No injuries were reported.
