Goat safely captured following brief adventure through Wilton

The four-legged traveler was safely taken into custody without incident and is currently enjoying fresh water, comfortable accommodations, and attentive care, according to Wilton authorities.

A wandering goat prompted a response from the Wilton Police Department and Wilton Fire Department after being spotted near Danbury Road and Ridgefield Road.

The four-legged traveler was safely taken into custody without incident and is currently enjoying fresh water, comfortable accommodations, and attentive care, according to Wilton authorities.

Officials are now working to identify and contact the owner.

Anyone who recognizes the goat is asked to contact the Wilton Police Department at 203-834-6260.

No charges have been filed, and the animal has remained mostly cooperative throughout the investigation, according to authorities.
