A White Plains man has been indicted for a multivehicle crash that killed two men on the Bronx River Parkway in August.
The Bronx District Attorney’s Office says 21-year-old Mauricio Neyra was driving drunk at over 100 mph when he lost control of his car and struck two men on separate mopeds.
Both victims were pronounced dead at a hospital, according to authorities.
The charges against Neyra include aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark issued a release announcing the indictment on Friday.
“This was an egregious case of recklessness and negligence, leading to the deaths of two young men. We will not tolerate anyone who would turn our roads into speedways and put other drivers in danger,” he stated.
