A Westampton man was killed and a Cherry Hill woman was seriously injured in a head-on crash Thursday night in Hainesport Township, state police said.

Troopers responded at about 9:18 p.m. to State Highway 38 east at milepost 13.4 in Burlington County.

A preliminary investigation found that a Ford SUV driven by Dakota Ditski, 28, of Westampton, was traveling west when he lost directional control and entered the path of an eastbound Chevrolet SUV near a U-turn area, state police said.

The vehicles collided head-on, and the Ford became fully engulfed in flames after the crash. Ditski sustained fatal injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 40-year-old Jaclyn Seader, of Cherry Hill, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
