Officials continue searching for person who abandoned puppies in Allaire State Park

Director Amy Richard says the puppies are in good health and are doing well. She says that abandonment is common in the area.

Three puppies found abandoned in Allaire State Park are doing well, according to the Monmouth County SPCA.

Director Amy Richard says the puppies are in good health and are doing well. She says that abandonment is common in the area.

"We are always here for people when they need help, if they can no longer keep their animals, so if someone had come forward and said they needed to give up these animals, we obviously would have intervened and helped them before they did something like leave them somewhere,” Richard says.

Richard is encouraging anyone who witnesses animal cruelty to report it by calling 877-898-7297.

The Monmouth County SPCA will post on social media when the puppies are up for adoption.
