A 5-year-old child was rushed to the hospital Thursday night following a house fire in Woodbridge.

Officials say the fire started around 8:30 p.m. on Alice Place. Two adults and the child were evacuated. Officials say that the child was treated for smoke inhalation. Their condition was not immediately known.

Officials say that the cause of the fire was not immediately known, but that it did not appear to be suspicious.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family since the home was determined to be uninhabitable.
