The Devils head into a matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks as losers of three straight games. They are trying to shake off Monday night’s loss against Vancouver.
The Canucks scored in the final minute to tie the game and then won it in a shootout. Goalie Jacob Markstrom appeared to lose his temper, slamming his stick.

“You just have to be comfortable in that spot. We’ve been in a playoff spot all year. So it’s just be comfortable there, play our best. I think ultimate good things will happen,” said player Erik Haula.
“This time of year it’s why it’s so much fun. Teams are fighting for stuff. The games mean so much. It just comes down to who wants it more,” said player Curtis Lazar.
The Devils and Blackhawks meet on Wednesday for the second time this season. The Devils won the previous meeting 4-1.
Several Devils players are out for the rest of the season with injuries, including top player Jack Hughes.
