CT DOT: Exits on Merritt and Wilbur Cross parkways to be renumbered

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced this week they will be renumbering exits on the Merritt and Wilbur Cross Parkways.
The changes are being in made in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
According to the state, "To be in conformance with Federal standards, exit numbers on CT-15 are required to be revised from the existing sequential numbering to mileage-based numbering."
The department will also replace large overhead- and side-mounted guide signs and on-ramp entrance signs.
Construction is expected to begin this fall.
