Police: Paterson man accused of stealing $3,000 worth of steak from Wayne food plant

A Paterson man is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of steak from a food distribution business.

Daquan Hinton, 40, was charged with burglary and theft.

The Wayne Police Department says Hinton was seen exiting Driscoll Foods while operating a pallet jack loaded with more than $3,000 worth of steak.

Officials say Hinton gained entry to the facility through a bay door.

Hinton was released on a summons to appear in court.
