More than $20,000 worth of diamond rings were swiped in an instant from a Paramus jewelry store Thursday night.
Police say two men walked in as Elite Diamond Center was about to close. One asked to look at loose diamonds while the other asked to look at diamond rings. While being shown three diamond rings, the suspect allegedly grabbed them and darted out the door.
Authorities believe the other man may have been an accomplice who was trying to distract the sales associate. Detectives are examining video surveillance of the incident to see if they can identify either man.
