Two Hoboken police officers are recovering after they were injured in a brawl outside of a popular bar Friday night.
The brawl took place at around 2:45 a.m. outside the Hoboken Bar and Grill on Washington Street.
The officers involved can be heard in police radio transmissions as situation became more intense.
The bar had closed 15 minutes earlier, but enough stuck around that the officers were dealing with a fight that was 40 people strong.
Moments later, the officer have the fight under control and call off mutual aid. However two officers ended up injured which prompted Chief Ken Ferrante to tweet:
Chief Ferrante says an investigation into the brawl outside the Hoboken Bar and Grill is continuing.
