(AP) - Two little girls who were trapped for more than two weeks in the Republic of Georgia are safely back home inNew Jersey.
Seven-year-old Ashley Evans and her 3-year-old sister, Sophia,arrived at Newark Liberty International Airport shortly after 10p.m. Monday.
The girls live in Howell, in central New Jersey. They had beenstranded at their grandparents' farm after Russia invaded theformer Soviet state.
They flew home with their father, Joseph. They were reunitedwith him Thursday after Congressman Chris Smith of New Jerseyenlisted the help of the French ambassador.
