2 killed in Jersey City crash identified
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities have released the names of two people killed in an early morning crash in Jersey City over the weekend.
The Hudson County prosecutor's office says 25-year-old Mario Guevara and 24-year-old Heather Acosta were killed in the 3 a.m. Sunday crash on Tonnelle Avenue.
Officials said both Union City residents were apparently sitting in the rear seats of a small red car involved in the crash.
The drivers and front-seat passengers of that car and a white car that overturned in the crash were taken to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment of injuries said not to be life-threatening.
Details about how the crash occurred weren't immediately available.
