Two people were injured after a car crashed into the Orchid Kosher restaurant in Metuchen Thursday afternoon.
Metuchen police say an older man was parked across the street and accidentally hit the gas pedal while backing up. This caused him to crash through the restaurant after striking two other cars.
Two of the people inside the restaurant suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Police did not say if the driver would be issued any summonses.
