Authorities are investigating a home invasion and shooting that left one person injured early Tuesday in Rochelle Park, prosecutors said.

Police responded around 3 a.m. to a home on Howard Avenue after receiving a report of an active home invasion with shots fired, according to the Bergen County prosecutor.

Responding officers determined there had been forced entry into the home and found one person suffering from injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital with nonfatal injuries and later released, authorities said.

No additional details were immediately released.
