A COVID-19 vaccination clinic administered the shot to children age 12 and older on Sunday at Temple Emanu-El of Closter.
On Wednesday, the CDC and FDA gave Pfizer's shot the green light, saying it would be available for adolescents under the same FDA emergency use authorization granted to adults.
It's now available to around 17 million children in the U.S., and in clinical trials of over 2,000, the Pfizer vaccine revealed a 100% efficacy rate.
Nearly 200 people signed up for the vaccine clinic hosted by the temple, Holy Name Hospital and the New Jersey Department of Health.
The temple is set to have a similar vaccine event on June 6.
