Young pedestrian killed in Newark motorcycle crash

A 15-year-old boy lost his life Friday when a man driving a stolen motorcycle crashed into him. David Williams was hit while he was walking on Aldine Street near George Washington Carver Elementary School.

A 15-year-old boy lost his life Friday when a man driving a stolen motorcycle crashed into him.
David Williams was hit while he was walking on Aldine Street near George Washington Carver Elementary School. The motorcycle also hit a parked mini-van. Williams died at University Hospital after the collision.
Witnesses said the emergency responders did not arrive soon enough. Hassa Bentley said it took responders nearly 25 minutes to get to the scene.
?I believe they should?ve been here?quicker,? said Bentley.
The motorcycle had been reported stolen in Bayonne. Alteriq Scott, the driver of the motorcycle, was also injured in the crash and is listed in stable condition. Police said they had existing warrants for his arrest related to other motor vehicle offenses.
Police are charging Scott with Williams? death.
