Yogi Berra's legacy now lives on forever in the upper right corner of your mail.
The image of Berra is now on a postage stamp. It was unveiled on Thursday.
Berra was one of the best Major League players of his era and won a record 10 World Series with the Yankees.
One of Berra’s sons is a self-proclaimed stamp collector.
“When the Postal Service called me and said that they wanted to do a stamp for dad, I was like in shock,” says Larry Berra.
Berra’s other son Tim says that he is grateful for the Postal Service honoring his father.
“The job the Postal Service does in commemorating our history, the persons, places, events that occur throughout our lifetime is just amazing. We’re so proud as a family that they’ve included my dad in that history” says Tim Berra.
Born in St. Louis in 1925, Berra and his family were longtime Montclair residents. He died in 2015 at 90 years old.
