The final track piece of the
Jersey Devil Coaster, the
world’s tallest, longest, and fastest single-rail coaster, was placed Monday
afternoon at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson.
The “topping off” of the
roller coaster, which is scheduled to open later this year, took place 130 feet
in the air – marking the completion of track construction.
The roller coaster reaches
13 stories high and is set to go up to 58 miles per hour on more than 3,000 feet
of track.
The roller coaster, which is
inspired
by infamous New Jersey mythology, will feature five intense elements, including
three dramatic inversions.
