Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that he'd sign off on legalizing medical marijuana in New York state as long as the legislation "makes sense."
The Senate is currently considering the so-called Compassionate Care Act, and Cuomo said the measure would need to include proper regulation of the drug.
Many News 12 viewers had mixed feelings about whether medical marijuana should be legalized, but most say those who are very sick should be able to benefit from it.
If passed, New York would become the 23rd state to permit medical marijuana use.
