Residents in Woodland Park are going through a bit of an identity crisis.
Residents voted last November to rename West Paterson as Woodland Park. Many landmarks and borough facilities haven't changed over signs and equipment yet. Getting it done won't be cheap either - Police Chief Tony Galietti estimates it will cost his department $10,000 alone just to replace badges.
Taxpayers are concerned the name change is going to cost them money without much to show for it. The group Save West Paterson has launched a petition for a revote this November regarding the name change.
