Authorities say a woman in Ewing escaped a gunman by swimming away.
Police say a woman was jogging along a path along the Delaware and Raritan Canal when a man stopped her to ask for directions. According to police, the man then pulled a gun on her demanding money. They say when she said she didn?t have any, the gunman tried to pull her into a wooded area. That?s when police say the woman jumped into the water and swam to the other side.
Authorities say her attacker followed her across a nearby bridge. According to police, the victim knocked on several doors until she could find help.
The gunman got away. However, the woman worked with a sketch artist to develop a picture of the man who tried to attack her.
