A Belleville woman is facing charges in a crash involving a dirt bike that left a 13-year-old boy dead.
The crash happened on June 7 near Joralemon Street and Garden Avenue in Belleville. The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says that Victor Huaringa-Albee was riding a Yamaha dirt bike when he collided with a 2016 Ford Explorer driven by 36-year-old Marilyn Quisepe-Falcon.
Huaringa-Albee died from his injuries.
Authorities say that Quisepe-Falcon left the scene of the crash before police arrived. She was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, endangering an injured victim and being an unlicensed driver involved in a fatal accident.
Quisepe-Falcon surrendered to police on Thursday and was released pending a court date.
