A Collings Lakes man was arrested after employees at a Washington Township McDonald's reported that he appeared intoxicated while with his young daughter, according to police.
Washington Township police said employees at the Route 42 restaurant called around 11 p.m. Saturday after seeing the man slurring his speech and having difficulty walking.
Police said an officer arrived and found the man and his daughter. The man underwent field sobriety tests and told officers he had consumed alcohol.
The 37-year-old man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said the child was turned over to a family member. The man was taken to the Salem County Jail.
Police did not provide additional details about the circumstances leading to the DWI charge.
