A woman who was pulled from the rough surf in Asbury Park last week has died.
Erin Higgins, 42, was swimming with another person in chest-deep water Wednesday when they got caught in a rip current.
The man was able to swim back to shore, but Higgins was found unconscious.
Police say she died the next day at the hospital.
