A woman from Buffalo is facing multiple charges after allegedly smuggling drugs into a prison in the town of Beekman.
New York State Police say a trooper responded to Green Haven Correctional Facility on Saturday after a visitor reportedly brought contraband into the facility.
Authorities say Dawn Jones-Mills had more than 200 pills and about 26 pieces of legal paper treated with an unknown substance.
The 60-year-old was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, knowingly introducing dangerous contraband into a prison, and two counts of promoting prison contraband.
Jones-Mills was arraigned in town court and released. She is due back in court next week.
