The growing season has ended for most of the state. Most neighborhoods already had their first frosts of the season a few weeks ago.
However, there are a few spots that have yet to experience a frosty morning, and as such, the National Weather Service has issued a few frost advisories until 8 a.m. Friday.
Skies will be clear, the winds will let up and this meteorological setup is great for colder weather. Despite the chilly start, it looks like with some early sunshine, the temperatures will slowly rise through the day tomorrow to their seasonable levels of the upper 50s.
Clouds will be collecting throughout the day as a weather system approaches from the Great Lakes. This will deliver some beneficial rains for late Friday night into very early Saturday morning. In fact, I believe the rain won't be around by daybreak on Saturday. The rest of the day should be filled with clouds and sun as daytime highs climb to the mid-60s.
Sunday, unfortunately, looks pretty wet. That rain will unlock some of the coldest air yet of the season.
