Wild winds wallop New Jersey

(AP) - Gusty winds buffeted the Garden State. By late afternoon Wednesday, the National Weather Service wasreporting sustained winds of 36 mph with gusts up to 48 at NewarkLiberty International Airport.

(AP) - Gusty winds buffeted the Garden State.
By late afternoon Wednesday, the National Weather Service wasreporting sustained winds of 36 mph with gusts up to 48 at NewarkLiberty International Airport. Some flight delays were reported.
At the Atlantic City airport, winds were 28 mph with gusts to39.
The winds brought down trees and limbs in many areas, causingscattered power outages.
Experts say high winds could down tree limbs and make drivingdifficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
The Weather Service says wind speeds will diminish through theevening, but remain gusty through Thursday morning.
