A death investigation is underway in Bergen County after the wife of a New York Yankees executive was found unconscious in her Harrington Park home.

Police were called to the home Saturday afternoon for reports of an unconscious woman. They found 55-year-old Rachel Minaya unresponsive in the bathroom.

Minaya was taken to Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood but was pronounced dead.

Minaya’s husband is Omar Minaya – the special assistant to the general manager of the Yankees.

A cause of death was not released, but the prosecutor says the death does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
