The widow of a Hempstead man who died in an MRI accident in Westbury has filed a lawsuit over his death.

Adrienne Jones-McAllister is suing Nassau Open MRI in Westbury, claiming the company did not tell her husband, Keith McAllister, to take off his metal chain after being asked to come into the MRI room by a technician.

As News 12 reported, McAllister, 61, was critically injured when he was pulled into the machine by his necklace and later died from his injuries, according to Nassau County police.

The complaint also claims Adrienne suffered severe mental and emotional pain from witnessing the incident.

News 12 has reached out to Nassau Open MRI for comment and is waiting to hear back.
