If you could say one sentence to your pet and they would understand you, what would you say?
That question was posted on Twitter and received a wide variety of results.
News 12 New Jersey asked some New Jerseyans what they would tell their furry friends.
“You’re my bloodline. You’re the air I breathe. You’re my everything. Don’t ever leave me, please,” Woodbridge resident Sharon Baker told her cat.
“I want to know if she’s happy because she brings us so much joy,” Judy Clarke of Port Reading said of her pet.
But what if the roles were reversed? What would you want your pet to tell you?
“’Thank you for saving me,’ but actually I need to thank her because she saves me,” says Michael Pokol of North Brunswick to his dog. "They have feelings, they have heart and soul, just like everybody else."
Some pet owners say that love needs no language.
“I would do anything for her. I would throw myself in front of a pit bull or a car for her,” Clarke says.
The original tweet has over 4,000 responses and was liked over 25,000 times.
