The 2026 FIFA World Cup begins in just one week. The first matches will be held in New Jersey and thousands of soccer fans from across the world are set to converge on MetLife Stadium.

Despite the excitement, many New Jersey residents say they are concerned about getting around the state while the event is happening.

New Jersey Transit president and CEO Kris Koluri says that while the agency has been tasked to come up with a plan to transport fans, it can be adjusted if the demand is not met.

Kolluri spoke to News 12’s Eric Landskroner about the steps NJ Transit it taking to make sure everything runs smoothly.
