Weekend repairs shutting down portions of George Washington Bridge

Portions of the George Washington Bridge will be closed starting at midnight for some repairs.

Portions of the George Washington Bridge will be closed starting at midnight for some repairs.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says that from 12 a.m. until 8 a.m. Saturday, two westbound lanes on the upper level of the bridge and two eastbound lanes on the lower level of the bridge will be closed.
More closures are set for the weekend. Those closures include:
• A ramp to the northbound Henry Hudson Parkway near the George Washington Bridge will remain closed for repairs to a retaining wall. Eastbound motorists exiting at Riverside Drive or heading to the northbound Henry Hudson Parkway are advised to take the upper level of the bridge. Access to the southbound Henry Hudson Parkway remains unaffected. Westbound motorists are encouraged to exit at 181st Street off the bridge's lower level for the Henry Hudson Parkway or Riverside Drive.
• From 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 12, to 8 a.m. Saturday, March 13, the two eastbound lanes on the lower level Trans-Manhattan Expressway will be closed.
• From 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 12, to 8 a.m. Saturday, March 13, two westbound lanes on the upper level will be closed. Westbound motorists should use the lower level.
• From 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 12, to 8 a.m. Saturday, March 13, two eastbound toll lanes on the upper level will be closed.
• From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13, one westbound lane on the upper level will be closed. Westbound motorists should use the lower level.
• From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13, one westbound lane to the northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway ramp will be closed.
• From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 13, one eastbound lane from the Henry Hudson Parkway and Riverside Drive to the lower level Trans-Manhattan Expressway will be closed.
